Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest and Fun Dive!

Come show off your artistic flair and buoyancy skills underwater by creating a unique piece of fruit* art!

Everyone will get a pumpkin and enter the water and come back with a delightful surprise for our panel of judges. The winner will be chosen from the entries based on skill, presentation, and whimsy.

The winner will receive a free trip on the Escapade for a 2-tank adventure. Runner-ups will also receive lovely parting gifts! After the judging, there will be an optional dive to the elusive Metridium Fields. Come on down and show us your stuff! Free to Kelptomaniacs Members.

We will meet on the North Side of San Carlos Beach (Breakwater) on the grassy knoll at 8:30am. You will need your C-Card, Total Dive System including weights and tanks, and a dive knife. Pumpkins will be supplied.

*Did you know that pumpkins are not a vegetable - they are a fruit! Pumpkins, like gourds, and other varieties of squash are all members of the Cucurbitacae family, which also includes cucumbers, gherkins, and melons.
